Print Technology & Limitations
We’re able to leverage use of both in-house and externally assisted state of the art printers for all of our garment printing.
The printing process is designed to deliver bold, long-lasting prints that hold up to frequent washing, high-intensity training, and everyday wear. High-opacity inks help create vibrant results, even on synthetic materials such as sportswear and technical training garments.
Where possible, we aim to use eco-friendly, water-based inks that are free from hazardous chemicals or harmful solvents. These inks are designed for excellent colour vibrancy and durability while remaining non-toxic and safe for all ages, including infants. This means that garments printed through our service not only look great but also meet high environmental and safety standards.
Our print production partners operate efficient, well-managed workflows, ensuring that each order is handled with speed and accuracy. Orders are tracked at each stage of production, allowing us to provide timely updates on their progress. With a print-on-demand approach, there are no setup costs or minimum order requirements, making it easier for martial arts clubs to offer branded products without financial risk. Whether we’re printing in-house or through one of our carefully selected partners, we’ll be able to enforce this high standard from start to finish.
While the printing process provides great flexibility, there are a few things to consider when designing your items. Extremely fine details or very small text may not reproduce as sharply on textured fabrics. Colour accuracy can sometimes vary slightly depending on the material and base colour of the garment. Lighter ink colours on dark fabrics may require additional layers, which can affect the feel of the print.
Where you have intricate or specialist designs, you might want to speak with our team first for some guidance. Before running any high volume or full production ranges, we strongly encourage on every occasion that you order atleast one test garment, so you can be sure the print you’ve provided looks as you need it to ‘in real life’ before you begin taking orders.
For smaller images uploaded in our product customiser in PNG format (transparent) you’ll see from the below (BMABA logos) that our printers can often onboard this to a garment in that format. If you’re uploading much larger imagery or the image doesn’t come in PNG format, you’ll see the printer often transfers this in one larger piece. You can use BMABA’s free design software (from the menu) for help designing the graphics.
Here are a few examples of a piece of artwork we printed, to help demonstrate print capabilities.
