MyBMABA Wallet Explained
MyBMABA Wallet Explained
Updated over a week ago

In light of BMABA providing a huge financial fund of support to help clubs return to the mats during Q1 of 2021, we realised that we needed an easy, secure way of helping our members take fees off of services in MyBMABA. The idea of multiple coupon codes wasn’t sufficient so we’ve created something new – the MyBMABA Wallet.

What is the wallet?

The wallet effectively adds an additional payment form to MyBMABA. In addition to debit and credit card payments, members can now top up their BMABA wallet with funds at any point, 24/7. Once funds are in your wallet, you can use this throughout MyBMABA on any purchase.

Why would I want to use this?

The BMABA wallet was initially designed to help us send funds to our clubs to use on emergency provisions – such as student insurance – instead of using complex discount codes. Since then, we’ve also seen it become very useful for clubs wishing to budget effectively and for clubs with more than one person responsible for student registrations or other related purchases.

How do I add funds?

You can add funds from the MyBMABA Account Page. You’ll find this under the drop down at the top right of the screen. Go to your profile icon > account > make a deposit. You can add any amount – from £1 to £1,000. Click ‘Add’ and complete the checkout process as usual. Once complete, this will allocate funds immediately to your wallet.

How can I check the balance of my wallet?

Per the above instruction, go to profile icon > account > wallet funds. You will see a summary of transactions and the total current balance available.

How do I send funds to another BMABA instructor account?

You can send funds to any other BMABA instructor at any time – you’ll just need their email address, and they’ll obviously need to be registered with MyBMABA, too! You can send funds to anyone helping to administer your club or even to another instructor as a thank you for picking up the coffee tab the last time you met up to discuss gradings!

Head to the profile icon > account > my account. You will see on the tabs ‘Send Money’. You can also click here.

Enter the amount you wish to send and their email address. Click send. When the receive accepts the request, the funds will leave your wallet for theirs.

We can’t force a member to return any funds knowingly and willingly sent between accounts, so please do not share funds with another person or account unless you are sure you know who they are, and you trust them.

You should never send funds to any account asking for BMABA wallet credit – even if it’s a BMABA office account. Report it via a support ticket immediately.

Refunds, Expiries & Terms

  1. Refunds are not usually permitted unless there are extenuating circumstances. We can occasionally provide withdrawals but only if there are good reasons for us to do so.

  2. Funds added to your wallet will not expire so you do not need to worry about using credits quickly.

  3. If you spend funds and then return the product or service for a refund, we can only refund back into your BMABA Wallet. We can’t refund Wallet payments to a debit or credit card.

  4. If your membership expires or you are expelled from the association we will not refund any credit in your wallet. If you choose not to renew and later return to us, we’ll do our best to reactivate your old account and will always honour existing balances where it is proven to be available – but this is something we can’t guarantee. Please only use the wallet functionality if you intend on remaining with BMABA until funds have been used up.

  5. The deposit of funds to your wallet or use of credits sent to your wallet does not constitute any monetary value and is not redeemable as cash or other such withdrawals.
