Underwritten by AXA. Named cover follows the person, so it travels with them to any venue they teach at.
Subject to underwriter acceptance and the policy terms and conditions.
Whether it is MartialGuard or any other insurer, send us your quote. If the cover is the same as ours or better, and it costs less than our membership and insurance together, we will do our best to beat it. If we cannot, we will give you Bronze membership free, so you can still be part of BMABA and insure wherever suits you.
Quotes need to match our cover like-for-like. We cannot match introductory or one-off offers.
Cover attached to a specific person by name. It travels with them to any venue they teach at, and their name appears on the certificate, which is what most halls and local authorities want to see.
Unnamed slots held by the club and assigned to whoever is teaching. Useful when your coaching team changes through the year, or when you want cover ready before you know who will fill it.
These attach to named cover, so switch named instructor insurance on to use them.
Licensing your students is what turns the club platform on properly. It also unlocks club business cover at no charge, which on its own is worth more than most clubs spend on licences.
Each student registered by name, with their own licence record in the BMABA CRM.
Unnamed licences held by the club and assigned as students join. Cheaper per head, no names needed up front.
This applies to named students, so add at least one to use it.
For the people who help you deliver classes but are not yet qualified instructors in their own right. Registration puts them on our public Assistant Instructor Register, so parents and venues can verify them, and gives them their own MyBMABA login.
For the people who keep the club running rather than teach in it. Club admin, reception, event support, ratio support and pad holding. Volunteers should never deliver technique or run a class.
Instructor insurance covers the person teaching. It does not cover the club as an organisation, and that is the gap most people do not find out about until they need it.

You have not added any instructor insurance. You are not obliged to use BMABA insurance, but we do need you to confirm that is correct and genuinely not needed.
We are happy to support monthly payments to help spread the cost, but please understand this is not a month to month product. Your membership is an annual commitment.
As a not-for-profit, self-funded organisation, clubs that fail to honour monthly commitments do not just hurt BMABA, they hurt fellow members who end up covering the shortfall. We trust you to honour this commitment.

Emergency services, armed forces, RNLI and NHS front line staff are entitled to 10% off every BMABA membership, for life. That applies to ex-serving armed forces and former emergency workers too.

Premiums are paid directly to our underwriters and do not benefit BMABA CIC. We negotiate group rates to get you cover you would not reach on your own, and we often pass it on at a loss. Authorised and regulated by the FCA as an Introducer Appointed Representative attached to FCA registration number 308626.
A not-for-profit Community Interest Company and a licensed social enterprise. Fees go back into the team, the platform and the mission. No external funding, entirely self-funded by members.
